Marc Guehi has won his fitness race and is expected to start England's World Cup quarter-final against Norway, alongside a recalled John Stones in central defence.
Ezri Konsa is expected to play at right-back, with Noni Madueke in front of him.
Florian Wirtz may have been bought as a number 10 under Arne Slot, but it says much about the season of both the team and player that he spent significant parts playing elsewhere last term.
Wirtz featured on both flanks - most notably the left - and was also used on occasion as a false number nine and a second striker.
Liverpool, though, didn't invest so much money in a player they didn't think couldn't impress in his natural position. And that's why Wirtz must be given an extended run as the number 10 this season.
The Reds are well stocked on the left flank with Rio Ngumoha, Cody Gakpo and new signing Victor Munoz, while they are in the market for a right winger.
Wirtz's main job, though, will be to help unlock Alexander Isak from central positions while the wide men also play their natural game.

Jürgen Klopp to on trying to sign Kylian Mbappe for Liverpool:
“We flew from Blackpool to Nice. In Nice, the entire Mbappe family boarded a private jet with five rooms...
“We really went all out. Then we flew around in a circle, talked with the family, ate good food. We couldn't be seen.
“We flew in a circle. It was fantastic. And then he went to Paris!” (Magenta TV) @JanAageFjortoft
