@AndreasSteno Are you using Life Expectancy as the metric for the value our healthcare provides? The US has some the worlds best doctors and wait times are much lower than some other socialized medicine countries. We do spend more and have our own issues with access/affordability though.
@TexasHookem22@BrooksAustinBA No what? Texas was preseason #1 in 2025. That wasn’t everyone thinking they had the best roster in the country? Also this Texas hype is EVERY year. They’ll be stout this year no question, but let’s not act like this isn’t the same narrative every year.
@BrooksAustinBA Couldn’t this have been posted in 2023, 2024, and 2025? Outside of Muschamp, but people were saying PK was one of the best this time last year too.
@inspireprag@88lkava Haha please enlighten me on your knowledge on the problem. Your initial post is misleading and shows you misunderstand basic economics and finance. Why wouldn’t the oldest members of society have the most net worth? Explain that logic to me.
@inspireprag@88lkava I don’t know or care what a NIMBY is. Most boomers own 1 home and were or are still low/middle class. You can’t even see past your own envy to recognize that. Just shut the fuck up and grind if you want a house bitch, quit blaming other people for not being able to afford one.
@inspireprag@88lkava ^^ guy doesn’t have sympathy for the elderly that can’t work. What about disabled people? Pregnant people or children while you’re at it? Just say you’re a prick. Also what, is every boomer a politician? How tf are any of us changing housing reform?
@awealthofcs There are 150 million housing units in the US. Population is 330 million. Avg family size is 3.15 people. What tf are you talking about? Every individual in the US needs to live alone for the American dream to be real?
@88lkava@inspireprag Im not arguing against property taxes, although thats a fair discussion too. Im arguing that rising tax and rising home values does nothing but benefit the upper class. they are the ones who can afford it. Do you rly not understand this? Whoever buys the home next is fucked too
@ChikeDottin@inspireprag Okay so you are for continuing to crush the middle and lower class? Most seniors depend on SS primarily as their income. Is that not what SS is for? A safety net for vulnerable members of our society? Especially ones that paid in for 40-50 years. Just say you hate old people man.
@YIMBYLAND Boomers don’t own all available housing wtf are you babbling about? Also I don’t understand blaming an entire generation. This issue of housing is complicated and the finger more rightly should be blamed on politicians and horrendous regulations than on the consumer.
@ChikeDottin@inspireprag So, your politics bring you to pricing low/middle income elderly out of their homes? This is your belief? Many elderly dont have retirement savings, they have SS and a paid off home. So again we land at crushing low/middle class elderly and to what end?
@inspireprag Hey loser, median net worth for 65+ is 300-400K. The elderly are not working anymore, they have no income so they are living off of this and/or SS for 20 years. If you had a 300K net worth at 30 it would be worth millions by 65. You see how that age group really isn’t rich?
@lymanstoneky So your solution to families working hard and being smart with money to save for their children, is to tax them more? Do you actually hear yourself?
@EVANGELAEQ@hecubian_devil If taxes increase to the point of unaffordability they are being forced to sell. So ur okay with uprooting and forcing elderly to sell their homes? to what end? How does rising property taxes help non-home owners buy their homes? 300K net worth is low middle class for elderly
