A disgraceful, brutal summary/ portrayal of mental illness, share of spend, people’s needs, no mention of premature mortality , stigma, the harms of waiting lists. Cruel.
Drawing: Possible causes of your problems. I've been appalled at the scenes we've witnessed over the last few days. It's utterly unacceptable that people should have to live in fear because of the colour of their skin.
[Polite comments only, please.]
One study suggests that when we don't feel safe at work, we're more likely to engage in Defensive Decision Making (DDM) https://t.co/NPvLoBeIgw We choose less effective #decisions to protect ourselves in the event it goes wrong #Psychological safety may be a way to reduce DDM
Over the years, I've learnt that the best, highest performing teams are those where everyone feels a sense of belonging & appreciation for the unique & different things they bring to the team. So I'm happy to post this blog & sketchnote on "things boldly inclusive leaders do". They build an inclusive culture through foundations of continuous learning, active listening, authentic communication & creating a psychologically safe environment for people to thrive: https://t.co/SmBQXNjC2w. Thank you @minettenorman for the principles & @tnvora for your powerful interpretation.
Tonight we said a huge thank you to our top fundraisers for this year's Walk the Wight.
You have already helped us raise a phenomenal amount and we are so grateful.
Thank you for enabling Mountbatten to be there for those who need it most and good luck next weekend! 🌻💛
This little monkey is taking on ‘Walk the Wight’ in memory of his Dad, John Baxendale. All donations support the incredible services that Mountbatten provide. In my nephew’s own words ‘I would be over the moon for any spare change you can offer.’ ❤️

Cliques divide people into insiders and outsiders. Healthy groups offer everyone a sense of belonging.
It's not enough to be polite. It's critical to convey that we value each member's contribution.
The foundation of respect is making sure others feel seen and heard.
I am very fortunate to work alongside the IPS team who do an amazing job supporting individuals into paid employment. It is wonderful to see how the IPS team inspires hope and guides individuals to (re)build purpose and meaning. Winning the IPS raffle is just the cherry on top.
About two years ago, ACP-UK began its campaign to protect the psychologist title.
Now ACP-UK member Bradley Powell, working with the campaign group, has initiated this parliamentary petition.

Annual bill for hiring temporary NHS staff passes £10 billion.
These huge sums spent on plugging NHS staffing gaps underline the need to support existing staff to remain within the workforce.

Polarization isn't due to echo chambers. The problem isn't that we only see our side—it's that we see the worst version of the other side.
It's not enough to burst filter bubbles. We need to amplify insight over outrage.
The loud minority rarely represents the silent majority.
I've refreshed this illustration after a conference at @UWEBristol last week.
Removing barriers to health services is not about equality. It's about equity. And to be equitable is to actively address barriers...
"Research demonstrates a very clear link between how well staff are feeling, their levels of mental health & the quality of care that they deliver.”
@kevinteohrh at our @HSJnews webinar, on the need for adequate mental health support for NHS and social care staff.
