@AnmolMD Is fighting in WWII really your greatest accomplishment? More than 3 million European soldiers died in the Battle of Stalingrad alone, and you're boasting that 200,000 Sikhs served in WWII? Buddy, almost everyone participated in WWII
@76567_to24683@nikki_plummer You don't even understand the difference between cardiac arrest and being pronounced dead, yet you're lecturing others about the facts. Look it up, mate.
@76567_to24683@nikki_plummer What are you talking about? He was already dead by the end of the bodycam footage. The police began CPR because he was clinically dead. The ambulance crew continued CPR and only pronounced him dead once it became clear that further attempts were futile.
@salingergregor@StefanFrancisci Yeah, that a fairer settlement (minus Burgenland). But the Entente never applied Wilsonian self-determination consistently when it came to Germans or Hungarians, unfortunetly.
@salingergregor@StefanFrancisci And? Are you conflating Habsburg dynastic possessions with Austria itself? It's a bit like saying Scotland belongs to England because both are ruled by the same Crown.
@salingergregor@StefanFrancisci Moreover, many German-speaking populations (such as the Danube Swabians and the Transylvanian Saxons in Hungary) did not have an "Austrian" identity at all.
@salingergregor@StefanFrancisci Austria losing the Habsburg Monarchy is closer to the UK breaking up into England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Hungary after Trianon is more like England losing 70% of its territory while millions of English people suddenly find themselves living in other countries.
@salingergregor@StefanFrancisci Not really comparable.
Austria mainly lost the non-Austrian lands of the Habsburg Empire. Hungary lost large parts of its own historic kingdom
