Our family went to our 1st game in the Peanut/Nut reduced section w/the @BlueJays . We were feeling very nervous before heading to a stadium that sells peanuts but I can assure you we felt safe because … https://t.co/iwu6t0MKpi
@chica71 @ToddSmithPC @Sflecce@GailVazOxlade@melissagrelo I’m not sure why the word idiot was needed, I’m well aware Sir James Whitney is a school for the deaf. Is it typical for the Minister of Education to visit during this week each year? NOPE. It was a convenient choice to keep himself away from any high Covid areas.
Pretty “brave” choice for your photo-op today, a school in an area with ZERO active Covid-19 cases and very small class sizes. You should be working on solutions to keep class sizes smaller for the safety of ALL Ontario’s children. #fireleece@GailVazOxlade@melissagrelo
It was great to host Minister @Sflecce in the Bay of Quinte this afternoon. We toured the 150 year old Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in Belleville

Ford's MPPs just defeated our motion to cap class sizes at 15. Their stubborn refusal to act puts the safety of our school communities, and our ability to manage this pandemic, at risk.
Thanks to all who acted quickly to call their MPPs.
We won't give up. #OntEd#onpoli
Mr. Ford failed to prepare for a #SafeSeptember, but it’s never too late to step up before it becomes worse.
If I were premier, I'd take action for #SmallerSaferClasses, smaller bus cohorts, better ventilation, & hiring teachers, bus drivers, custodians, education workers.
We can't afford to wait and see who gets sick and hope for the best - we need the government to do everything in its power -right now- to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our schools.
The second part of my question to Ford today:

My son (8) is not returning to in person school for one reason only - I do not trust that Stephen Lecce and Doug Ford’s plans will keep him safe! Hope that’s clear enough for the two of you! @Sflecce@fordnation#UnsafeSeptemberON#SafeSeptemberON#etfo
@anathom This is exactly why I will NOT be sending my kids back to school because it is an #UnsafeSeptember
Please feel free to share my post as an elementary teacher and very concerned mom.

With Ont. numbers slowly on the rise, community spread concerns should once again be front and centre. How can public health officials be doubling down on asking us to stay in our bubble of 10, yet we're putting kids into classes of over 20, 25 or 30? Please explain @fordnation.
Premier Doug Ford says teachers’ unions are “playing politics.” He says he will listen to doctors before a union leader with “a degree in English literature” like @osstf president Harvey Bischof. Ford dropped out of Humber College after one term in 1984. #onpoli#COVID19#onted
