@ContraAdIgnem *He stares. By now, he knows Nori well enough to know he's not lying. And also well enough to know that further inquiries for details would not be particularly welcomed.
Doesn't mean he's not angry about it*
…Fine. There's nothing I can do but trust you, is there?
@ContraAdIgnem *His demeanor always changes when Flare is brought up. His body stiffens, and he keeps eye contact with an intense stare*
Complicated? What does that mean??
@ContraAdIgnem …Okay.
*Typical Nori response. Ari's grown to expect it*
I'll talk to… the person I'm thinking about asking. I'll see if they'd like the job.
@ContraAdIgnem *A choice, yet again. The obvious answer is Scherzo… but the obvious show of fondness in selecting him could put him in danger, too. Then again, the same could be said of anyone he chooses. And anyway…*
Less time? What exactly will you have me doing?
@ContraAdIgnem Okay. I don't have a great deal of personal belongings— which, uh, is probably to be expected— so I can make the change fairly immediately.
@ContraAdIgnem There's people there, is what it comes down to. I just like being around people.
But if moving is going to happen eventually regardless, I suppose I should do that now rather than later.
@ContraAdIgnem *He leans in for a moment to whisper*
I will say, the servants were much nicer.
*He's still been able to talk with them… a bit. Not as much as he'd like to*
But you don't need to worry about me. I'll continue doing whatever you ask.
@ContraAdIgnem To be clear, I was considered very good at my role.
One of the best, actually.
But it was never a requirement. And I think that much comes down to the realities of ghosts. We don't have to eat food, we don't require much upkeep. If someone drops the ball, no one dies.
@ContraAdIgnem I just mean that for most of my life— err, afterlife, whatever you want to call it— I was content to stay in the tower and continue the legacy of our own, insular legends. It's only after I met people from outside that I was inspired to leave.
@ContraAdIgnem Oh! No, I wasn't criticizing. I just…
I guess I just feel out of place. Out of all the places my life could have led to, I wasn't even a little prepared for this…
Though, you'd probably rather I stop rambling and get back to the relevant info, huh? ^^;
@ContraAdIgnem The geography does seem… advantageous.
*Does Ari wonder if he's making a massive mistake? Oh, all the time, of course. He's far too deep to stop now, though*
@ContraAdIgnem That it would…
*As usual, he's caught between a rock and a hard place. Other than the small bits he has prior knowledge of (like that Village Bridge wasn't created until well after this time period), he has no idea which cities would be around right now and which wouldn't*
