A little over 6 months ago, I released my first @SoundAffections song. Today we crossed a new milestone on Spotify: 100,000 streams!!
Thank you for listening, friends. 🙏🏼
We’re going back to the moon, guys. That’s pretty awesome!
Imagine looking out the window of Artemis II and witnessing the radiance of the heavens. Reminds me of these thoughts from Ransom in CS Lewis’ Out of the Silent Planet when he witnessed it on his trip to Mars…
Big thanks to the team at @ApostlesWorship for letting me share (and helping to bring to life!) my brand new song, “Trust in the Name of the Lord (Psalm 20).” It is now available on all music platforms. https://t.co/Sx0K8FoOle
I love the Lord’s Day! It is refreshing to gather with God’s people, to hear the Word preached, to sing Scripture back to God in worship and to reaffirm our allegiance to our great King, Jesus. It was a pleasure to gather with my friends at @ApostlesATL over the weekend.
…playing instruments, singing, engineering and production, cultivated over many decades. AI can spit out a song in minutes. Please stop using AI for music releases! You will destroy the industry.
All that said, thanks for checking out my new song! This one comes from the heart.
Someone asked me on Instagram if my new song is AI. If so, what AI program was used? 🫠 This is the new frontier that the music industry is quickly moving into. So FYI…
- a year ago, I opened my Bible to Ps 20 and wrote “Trust in the Name of the Lord” on my home piano in GVL
- then I recorded vocals at my home studio
- then my producer spent hours editing, mixing and mastering it
- my wife (Lindsay Impellizzeri) designed the artwork
One song means MONTHS of work and studio time from humans who are proficient in writing songs…
Guys- we’ve got to cut out this gnostic, pietistic, anabaptist nonsense. The Reformed tradition affirms the good of embodied existence, rightly ordered to heavenly life. Earthly matters matter. This pietistic escapism is lazy and cowardly.
In every fear and vexation, we can call out to Him. The battle is the Lord’s, and He is mighty to save!
I hope this song gives you a jolt of courage and faith. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
My new song is out today!! I’ve been eager to share it with you since I wrote it last year. Psalm 20 reassures us that we don’t fight our battles alone. The Lord goes before us and faithfully defends us. Our trust is in Christ alone - He is our deliverer. https://t.co/IUOVlOeGea
In honor of St. Patrick, on Tuesday, March 17, I’m releasing my new song, “Trust in the Name of the Lord (Psalm 20)”! May the Lord raise up a thousand Patricks to continue boldly proclaiming the Gospel to the ends of the earth. End/
🧵 From slave to missionary: The remarkable story of St. Patrick
St. Patrick was born into a Christian family in Roman Britain in the late fourth century. His father was a deacon, and his grandfather a priest. At age 16, Irish raiders kidnapped him and brought him to Ireland. 1/
Patrick’s courage & unorthodox ministry tactics by directly opposing local authorities at the time of pagan feasting proved that God was the King over Ireland. He did not fear what man could do to him with chariots and horses, but trusted in the name of the Lord, our God. 7/
