@RobCarpenter Automatic transmissions, GPS, and ELD’s are what killed the industry. No skill or route planning needed anymore. Press a button to drive, look at a GPS to figure out where to go, and let a ELD tell you when you need rest. I wonder how few atlas’s are sold any more.
Trump inherited the smallest beef-cow herd since 1961. You cannot rebuild 30 million breeding animals in six months. You keep ranchers profitable, open grazing land, protect them from drought and losses, expand American processing, encourage them to retain heifers, all of which the Trump USDA is doing —and while those cows reproduce, you temporarily supplement hamburger supply. What exactly is the alternative? Tell Americans to pay $9 a pound for hamburger for three years while we wait for calves to grow up?
@seanmdav What should he do, wave a magic wand to magically grow a newborn to slaughter ready in 10 mins??
What a short sided statement!
TDS runs rampant. 🙄
Well, "American beef" is at the lowest herd size in more than 40 years due to policies of the Biden Administration and inflation that impacted all aspects of beef production from 2022 to 2025.
It takes 3 years to see the effects of increasing herd size for beef cattle:
Year 1 -- Breeding.
Year 2 -- Calving.
Year 3 -- maturation, fattening, and slaughter.
You can't skip any of those steps.
Cows bred this year that produce calves next year, and thus creating beef that will be on store shelves in 2028 and 2029.
So you can't have "more American beef" just because you want it.
@supertrucker Not entirely true. I have a local food distributing company in my area where a lot of their drivers leave Monday and are back Friday earning six figures.
@BreitbartNews If that reporter had a journalistic bone in their body they would’ve ask him, if that’s the case, why didn’t anyone in the 4 years of the Biden administration didn’t they put him behind bars. Oh that’s right, Trump did nothing that the left claims he did.
