@bplaysstuff@PPMD To PPMD, do you think you’d still be actively competing if you never had to step away from competition? If not, when would you have stopped?
@JKJplays Yeah, the cheapest alternative rn is buying a used controller and gutting most of the parts from them minus the T3s (I got pretty good ones on eBay).
@SDJ_SSBM This is more an issue using CRTs.
Some CRT light guns just don’t shine as bright due to use over time and it causes the whole screen to be darker. Compare that to on monitor where you can clearly see GNW is darker than the background.
Anyone know where I could find casted sticks or proper thumb stick covers for a pro controller? These don’t fit on the thumb sticks the same way they do on the joycon.
@FinallyRJ I played around with this style of bracket before. I think the format can work, especially if there’s a large skill gap between portions of the bracket. The only downside is that the chances for upsets goes down against those top seeds but otherwise I like it.
I wonder if the laggy LCDs of the early 2000s had an impact on game design regarding input buffer and input windows and the deign was just kept 🤔
I know there’s other things like accessibility, but it was just a thought.
Reminder that when we did this in Melee @ Royal Flush, nothing major changed, didn’t create more timeouts like expected. Could there be more timeouts because it’s Ultimate and not Melee? Yeah, but why can’t we just try stuff? 😭
We need a much more clear stage rulings system.
Here’s my take: Source’s Stage Rule
Genesis’ Ultimate stage ruling would fall under D4, so it’s SSR-D4.
Genesis’ Melee stage ruling would fall under SSR-A1
Something like this also helps with expandability!
