The French VTuber @\Just1Chat was placed under formal investigation by the French justice system this past March 18, while around ten VTubers are currently under investigation by the Brigade for the Suppression of Crimes Against Persons (Brigade de la Répression de la Délinquance contre la Personne).

This judicial decision and the ongoing investigation follow the complaints for defamation, aggravated harassment, and death threats that we filed in 2024, and which I am forced to update constantly, as these acts persist and grow worse.

Being placed under formal investigation means there are serious or corroborating indications that a person may have committed an offense or a crime.
A trial will take place.

This summer, it will soon be 2 years that a vile campaign of harassment has been unleashed against us.
I have received death and rape threats, I have been doxxed, my electricity meter was hacked, people have talked about dousing me in gasoline and burning me alive, about coming to finish what my "uncle," my rapist, did to me as a child. Edited images have been made of me superimposed onto a disemboweled corpse, and in late November 2025, I was the target of an attempted in-person assault that forced me to move out as a matter of urgency. And it only keeps getting worse.

We have now reached the end point of a process of total dehumanization of who I am.
I was stalked at DoKoMi, pursued by one or more people who wanted to physically harm me.
I am the target of defamatory, manipulative accusations fabricated entirely from scratch by French VTubers. It is now impossible for me to appear in public without a security detail that is staggering for a creator of my profile, because of the credible, precise, and detailed threats I receive, which draw on my personal information.

The French and German police are involved. I am now living through international harassment, without end, that has crossed beyond the borders of the internet.

All of this must stop immediately.

Some French VTubers deeply regret having taken part in this sham, and today stand beside us before the French justice system. Thanks to their testimony and the exhaustive screenshots they have provided, I hold damning evidence demonstrating the involvement of numerous VTubers in the harassment we are enduring: intimidation emails, the use of throwaway accounts to terrorize me, the creation of fake screenshots, the spreading of false information. I was spared nothing.

All of this evidence is in the hands of the competent authorities, and I will not hesitate, in accordance with my legal proceedings, to release some of it in the event of reprisals.

I will systematically pursue legal action against anyone who engages in illegal activities against me.

The slowness of the French justice system feeds a sense of impunity, but all those responsible will, one way or another, end up before the courts.

Yeah, I did something dumb.

For a few short moments, I was considered a public nuisance; which is something I aimed to never become during my stay in Japan.
I learned it’s very important to conduct proper research before bringing something like Kigurumi cosplay & a camera into a foreign country. As soon as I was informed by staff to stop recording, I immediately complied and apologized as It was never my intent to make anyone feel uncomfortable.

Overall, I had a fantastic time interacting with the locals on a broader level and tried to be respectful around every turn. I'll make sure my future content highlights these positive moments instead.

Gen AI is inexcusable no matter where its used. It hurts the environment & is anti art. Do not give anyone slack cuz "well at least they didnt use it that much" we should not be ok with anyone using it AT ALL. Make art with your own hands, dont give part of the art process to ai.

Now this is just my personal opinion right, but finding a VTuber friend group when your profile is openly pro-AI + images of your character with AI, you pretty much wrecked ur chances with a lot of VTubers, so there's only a small sphere left. so its difficult. gl
