We are increasing the coordination of the South Pole CMB program through the formation of a South Pole Observatory (SPO)!

SPT-3G reports their first discovery of 15 astrophysical transient events! Both short-duration active-chromosphere stars, that flare up to 1 Jy over minutes to hours, and a population of long-duration (~2-3 weeks) events of unknown extragalactic origin.
