Her Excellency Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Under Secretary of State and Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, wishes to inform the general public and national and international media outlets that:

On September 27, 2025, at approximately 11:52 AM, Thai military forces initiated an attack on Cambodian military positions by firing many shots of motar and small arms at the Cambodian base in the An Seh area. As of now, the Cambodian armed forces continue to monitor this development with the utmost caution and attention, and are fully prepared to defend the territorial integrity.

Cambodian armed forces reaffirm their firm commitment to respecting and fully implementing the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand, emphasizing the importance of close cooperation at all levels and seeking concrete collaboration aimed at promoting peace and stability between the two countries. Cambodia also calls for a swift return to normalcy and urges Thailand to adhere strictly to respect and implement the ceasefire, as well.
