I absolutely LOVED Hope. It was one of the most fun and thrilling experiences I've had at the cinema this year. I was beaming from beginning to end at the sheer craftsmanship in bringing this experience to life within the frame.
@CodyLeachYT It resonated and hit hard for me. It does a great job of capturing the fear of living in an environment that doesnโt accept you, to the point where you begin to fear yourself. It evoked emotions and memories of my own past and has stayed with me long after the credits.
Leviticus really resonated with me. It brought up emotions and memories from my own past, and I felt it did a very good job at capturing the fear of existing in an environment that rejects you for who you are. My spoiler-free review will drop on the channel later this evening.
#mastersoftheuniverse was a lot of fun! I was transported back to being a kid again in the early 90s and I had a blast! While it's not perfect, it does a great job of capturing the spirit and essence of the source material and the fantasy movies of the 80s and 90s. It was pure joy and escapism. My full spoiler-free review will drop later this evening on the channel.
The biggest problem I have with Disney Star Wars is that it's been treated purely as a business investment. I sense it whenever I watch a movie or show. Some are less obvious than others, and I'd say it's more evident in the sequel trilogy. With George Lucas, it felt he had a story to tell. No matter how you felt towards the prequels, they always felt like there was a purpose or weight to them, because there was a story to tell. That's what I personally feel has been missing from Star Wars since Disney got its hands on it.
