Trofimova said she saw no signs of war crimes during her time near the front. "I think in Western media, that's what Russian soldiers are associated with at this point, because there were no other stories. This is another story," she said.

She obviously had overlooked events such as the bombing of Kyiv's children's hospital, widely condemned as a war crime. Trofimova also did not address the realities faced by Ukrainians living under Russian occupation in the regions she visited, raising concerns about the legality of her presence there under Ukrainian law.

"Since the beginning of the war on February 24, 2022, there have been a lot of bridges destroyed between Russia and the West," she said. "I would like this film to be maybe not a bridge, but at least a rope I can throw across and to help us see each other."

Her remarks underscore a glaring omission: the voices of Ukrainians. Her comments frame the war solely through the lens of Russian-Western relations, with little regard for the lived experiences of those in Ukraine, suggesting a narrative that ignores their suffering entirely.

Monday morning. Regions of Ukraine are being shelled by the occupiers, who continue to terrorize peaceful cities and people. Kryvyi Rih, Kherson. Residential buildings, a university building, a crossroads were hit. Unfortunately, there are dead and wounded. There may be people under the rubble. My condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones because of Russian terror.

Rescuers and all necessary services are on the ground and working. We are trying to save as many people as possible. I have already spoken to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine. Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Regional Policy Oleksiy Kuleba and the RSA heads are already dealing with the situation. In recent days, the enemy has been stubbornly attacking cities, city centers, shelling civilian objects and housing. But this terror will not frighten us or break us. We are working and saving our people.

This Monday morning russia launched rockets into two buildings with people inside in Kryvyi Rih. One section of residential building is completely destroyed, another building is a school. People under the rubble.

Ukraine is still in need of air defense and F-16 fighters to protect its citizens from everyday terrorism.
