He has a nearly identical situation as Hunter Renfrow (minus the being cut part)…

Jaylin Noel was listed as the backup slot receiver behind Christian Kirk. Well… Christian Kirk got ruled OUT, which moves Noel up to the starting position. To make things better, the Braxton Berrios, the 3rd string slot receiver, is also OUT. He’s going to benefit a TON with these injuries.

Add in that Joe Mixon is also OUT, and that leaves the Texans without their best RB. Nick Chubb, an aging back who has lost a step after suffering multiple career-threatening leg injuries, is the new starter… and that’s a problem considering the Texans have a bottom-5 (if not worse) offensive line. With the Rams having a top-10 pass rush, Stroud won’t have a lot of time to get the ball out, and should look to his slot guy as a first read at least a HANDFUL of times

The only downside is that he has a tough matchup against Cobie Durant, but again… given the situation and the OLINE issue, Stroud should still look his way

Just like Renfrow… we just need them to connect on 1-3 plays and we’ll have another easy winner

Note: Nico Collins is the WR1 and could very well see constant doubles as the sole proven WR. If that happens, Stroud will be forced to look elsewhere, which would be Jayden Higgins or Jaylin Noel (or Dalton Schultz)
