On Friday night, we let Kelly Chase in on a little secret: the new trophy being awarded to the winning foursome at the Blues for Kids Golf Classic this year has been dubbed the “Kelly Chase Community Cup.”
The award celebrates Chaser’s incredible efforts to give back to the St. Louis community, something he’s done since Day 1 upon debuting with the Blues more than 30 years ago.
The cup was delivered by Donald Ringling, an original member of the Gateway Locomotives, a program Chase helped establish in 1994 to give people with developmental disabilities the chance to play the game of hockey. The organization was re-named Blues Special Hockey in 2017 and still continues today. #stlblues
