@WilliamCobbett4 @ianh0lmes @SirGrahamBrady There are always alternatives but you decide to pick this one. What about proper infrastructure, flood planning (including rainfall retention ponds), less artificial grass and concrete that increases run-off... Etc. This can be better managed.

Digging holes, and leaving them, especially in popular, well used areas like this on the Links, Whitley Bay, is dangerous.

A bairn, dog, or (like me) a clumsy and oblivious adult, could easily be hurt by stepping in one.

This year I am attempting my first Great North Run (for @TeenageCancer). Having had the misfortune of being diagnosed with leukaemia around my 19th birthday (March 1990), I know exactly how difficult it is to deal with something so serious, so young. Thx!

@jasewelton @Roche1Mark @Newbigginlad Willock was better because he'd just come from the Arsenal fitness and training centre. Nothing to do with Bruce. He went downhill after the affects of Ncle/Bruce got to him. I'm not a Bruce hater, but you can see the affects with this one player. Fitness!
