🚨Roy Keane on Alejandro Garnacho’s failed spell at Chelsea after leaving Manchester United:
🗣️ “I remember when Garnacho left Manchester United. He said he had no regrets. There were even stories that he’d rather sit on the bench somewhere else than stay and fight for his place at United. Football has a funny way of bringing you back to reality. Less than a year later, Chelsea are already looking to move him on. That’s a brutal lesson for any young player.
People always think the next club is the answer. Sometimes it isn’t. Manchester United gave him opportunities, believed in him and put him on one of the biggest stages in football. Instead of building on that, he walked away believing something better was waiting. Now the very club he wanted to join can’t wait to ship him off. That tells its own story.
Football doesn’t care about bold statements or social media quotes. It only respects performances. You can say you have no regrets, but when you’re being shown the exit before you’ve even settled in, people will always ask if leaving was the biggest mistake of your career. Sometimes the grass isn’t greener. Sometimes you leave the right club at the wrong time.”
🇫🇷 According to @GraemeBailey, Manchester United are 'plotting a move' for France and Roma midfielder Manu Kone, who they have added to their shortlist.
Any thoughts on the 25-year-old, Reds? 🔴💭

@Clarabell045788 You’re right and I was lucky enough have that moment today with my wife & all the kids together for the afternoon 😊(they grow up too quick!).
@MUFCPremYrs Pure class! Remember trying with all my might to persuade my mum to buy me the white & black tracksuit! & the bench coat! Failed though 😩
@phil8599 You’re right, £66 a ticket was way too much last season , some started at £73 this first ticket release. It’s obscene that along with moving ST holders for corporate.
@timscoreboard The only time I felt hopeful of challenging the owners was when fans managed to get the Liverpool game cancelled. But that was during Covid. I don’t want to give up going to games or even try & fill that void with affordable lower league games. It’s not the same.
