The best news you’ll ever hear: Jesus died for sinners, paid the full penalty for our sins and rose again, so everyone who trusts in Him will be saved.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; [9] not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB
Believing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.
It is only by God's grace through faith that we can be saved from hell. It is the death of Jesus Christ for our sins that we can be saved.
We are not saved by good works, good deeds, or obedience.
Trusting in Jesus for salvation is about trusting in what HE has done to save you.
Rather than trusting in your ability to obey his commands, thinking to yourself “I will try my best and hope it’s enough”.
What you do will NEVER be enough, but what Jesus did IS enough.
He's right. Religion did steal his entire sexual prime because a relationship with Christ does the opposite.
Strict rules that keep you from sexual sin will always result in this kind of bitterness, confusion, and self reliance.
Living out the truth of Jesus leads to viewing sexual purity and sexual intercourse in marriage as a gift, not a barrier to manhood.
@sola_chad Yes! And also him saying, "Glory be to Allah" on Easter day was absolutely insane. He really needs to sit down now and repent.
I will not support this kind of behavior at all. May Christ humble him deeply, smh.
It's still amazing to me that the Creator of the Universe would send His perfect Son to die in my place. I lived in open rebellion and cursed God for years for not giving me what I thought I deserved ... all the while not realizing He took the punishment I actually do deserve.
You will never get to heaven by being a “good person” or doing “good” things.
You will only get to heaven by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
@PhantomJoker18@churchtalkative Pray to Jesus, and acknowledge that you need Him. Whenever you feel tempted, invite Him into that place, telling Him that your feeling weak (1 Corinthians 10:13). God will make a way out for you to resist falling into temptation. Lastly, read His Word, for it is alive and active.
Masturbation is a SIN.
It feeds lust, robs you of self-control, and distances you from purity. The Bible calls us to flee sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies (1 Cor 6:18–20).
You can overcome it through prayer, discipline, and renewing your mind (Romans 12:2).
