Texan bangya and kimono enthusiast. I’m training to become a kitsuke teacher. I’m a diehard horror fan—especially body, psychological and Korean horror
I fear I’ve officially ruined any chance of having friends in my class at school today and I don’t want to do this anymore. I’m sick of trying so hard and still failing
@merrygomaru Autistic and tried all the fancy earplugs and the best hands down is Ear Piece. I gave all my loops to people who came with nothing because I can’t picture wearing anything else
@WaitingInExile Autistic and love going to loud concerts. Tried basically every popular earplug and Ear Peace is hands down my favorite. They include different levels of reduction inserts and don’t distort the sound or increase my “internal sounds” like footsteps
@JKJeonEuphoria@sleepingpixiee Anytime you are in a public space you risk being judged. You can’t police how other people feel about you/your actions. Anyway, the post I was replying to was insinuating that phone-free folks are hypocrites, so it feels weird to me that you responded to me defensively
@BlS3XUALlSM The ace umbrella has a truly absurd amount of microlabels too. I stopped going to a lot of online ace comms around 2011 and came back a few years later and the amount of unfamiliar labels had gotten so high that it felt impossible to catch up!
@MallowtonMouse I think the more likely explanation is that people are phrasing things poorly than suddenly proclaiming that aro somehow cancels out the ace
Yes, obviously we’re included because we’re ace but that doesn’t mean that aros who aren’t also ace should be. We used to fight to get people to accept that not all aces are also aro…tf is happening in this comm?!
I feel like if the "new" flag is defeated by slandering aromantic asexuals, we'll also get kicked out of the old asexual flag for these same reasons, because "we have the aromantic flag/ aroace flag." Aromantic aces should be welcome to the ace flag because we are ace.
Dyspraxia kicked my ass today. At school I dropped my notebook and colored pencils, then my yogurt, then somehow picking up my thread cutter went soooo wrong that it flung towards me and cut open my other arm. Had a lot of bad symptom days lately but today was next level bad!
@jankiraibo@zellieda Or a nontraditional student at a regular college. We had exactly 5 students over 25 (one was over 50) and the vast majority of students were 17-20. Sorry roomie, we can’t be friends
