@zerohedge Some kind of predictive/probabilistic tool might be in the making to indicate which flight carries more risk, the problem might be that most statistical data is gathered based on the reported accidents/incidents NOT accounting specific practices such as rushing technicians etc..
Ed Fairburn repurposes old maps, transforming them into beautiful, highly-detailed portraits, merging landscape and humanity, reminding us that we are a product of our environment & vice versa

@3DOMFBK I wonder if there are ones that were used to CORONA or U2 photography somewhere on sale? It would be an epic gift together with the negatives, or at least very high resolution photogrammetric scans...🫰
@boxMica@HamWa07 Very nice use case. 👍 Are there systems that can image/visualize #radiowave beams in #3D in real/near-real time? Of course the answer might be that it depends on different freq. and geometries of transmitter/receiver, but are there such aerial, terrestrial systems in existence?
@lcmorelli3@3DOMFBK After second look at the photographs, those artifacts are the consequence of Mr. Nadar smiling on one photograph😀 Its like he consciously/subconsciously challenged/made harder for anyone trying to do the proper reconstruction! 😆😂🤣
@mouthofmorrison@ArmsControlWonk Sometimes there are no thumbnails, if there is one sometimes is fairly shifted. I assume a lot of ppl complained, so USGS introduced Data Set Message pointing out the necessity of viewing preview and metadata.
@VisualCap It wold be far more interesting to see these figures in relation to each countries GDP, it would better reflect fiscal burden for the donating country...
Gamalt kort af Grindavík frá 1957 á vefnum https://t.co/KaZmT6GDtc sýnir gamla sprungu eða sigdal sem fer í gegnum allan bæinn.
Við bárum þetta saman við drónamyndband sem Ragnar Visage tók í dag af sama svæði. Skemmdirnar á Austurvegi eru ofan á gömlu sprungunni.
@StephanSturges Using ML to count the occurrences and location of certain object is pretty well est. What are the advancem. of handling more nuanced and contextual tasks by AI in regards to 🛰️/✈️ optical data, such as combining many diff. input data to infer the likelihood of certain outcome?
@StephanSturges@MrCatid Extremely interesting algorithms and use case. 👍Can it be adopted to low altitude UAVs and oblique images? Can You adapt your solution to be able to operate on DSMs?
@Rainmaker1973 So essentially 3D physical reproduction (#3D#printing in a sense) based on photographs was present and utilized quite often well before the wide-spread of computing assisted 3D_printing, in MID-XX century!
