Whilst I absolutely adore lambs, I can not wait for lambing season to be done! I've got 16 lambs in my care at the moment. It's a lot. Several have been unwell and needed intensive care but thankfully they're doing ok!
@darrynhall1 Yep they're already involved. The guy has been escorted out of the clinic twice by them. Ive got another meeting with them on Wednesday. Thank you though! I can empathise that he's upset and angry that he lost his dog, but gosh it doesn't excuse his behaviour
Considering I've just recently been on the receiving end of some highly unpleasant death threats, and threats to "beat me up to the point where I'm unrecognisable" due to a poor outcome involving one of my patients, this is so important!

A wk ago, Limpet was attacked by a dog. She fought hard for a wk, but despite doing everything, including a blood transfusion, she left this world quickly Friday morning. All I could do was hold her head in my lap as she slipped away. I am numb and completely heartbroken ๐
@H_Combs I'm so glad I could give these 3 an amazing life after racing. The grey boy was my heart horse. I lost him 16yrs ago to cancer & still miss him so much it hurts. The chestnut mare I lost last yr to old age ๐ My main man Snap (bay) I've had since he retired at 6. He's now 17 ๐
@Paguban Thank you ๐ im absolutely broken by it. I haven't been able to sleep, I feel so traumatised by it all. She was just so unbelievably special to me and I just feel so sad ๐
@Paguban The bullet somehow has missed all the main structures through the neck. He still has a few larger looser bone fragments which I've left for now but may need to remove if they don't heal bur it's pretty amazing he's still standing, the poor boy
Everyone meet Luigi ๐ he came to me after someone found him half dead in the paddock after being shot through the neck ๐ญ I removed bone fragments today & patched him up. Will be a lot of daily bandage changes and flushing for the next few weeks but hopefully he pulls through ๐
