Surreal to see my name & new job title on this planner, personalised with some of the people that have given me the confidence to believe & achieve. Roll on September when I start my new job as a Speech & Language Therapist in a secondary school 🥰 #papierpals@PapierUK
I realised the importance of ‘letting my hair down’ and finding the balance of work/play. Seeing Linkin Park with family and friends was just what I needed before knuckling down and finding a job 🙌🏻
I have huge appreciation for my colleague/tutor Helen for inviting me to co-present with her today @EdEqServices. Thank you for allowing space for my voice and opinions 🙌🏻
I was incredibly privileged to speak at the @EdEqServices conference today alongside the inspiring Jason Arday. I championed the value of socioeconomic diversity within professional roles, not just our patients and the benefits of leadership placements. Amazing day 🤩
That’s my 3rd and final year clinical placement done. I was honoured to work with an amazing placement educator in the criminal justice system and I learned so much. I was also very lucky to receive such thoughtful gifts from her. Next stop, find a job!
“Any person is still a human being. No one should be treated differently because of their ethnicity. Skin colour doesn’t mean you matter less.” I feel like the proudest Mum in the world right now. 💕 (2/2)
When I spoke to the kids about the disgraceful racism that’s currently occurring in the UK, Tobias (9 y.o) designed anti-racism bracelets to show that we stand against it. Tobias’ own word are in the next tweet….(1/2)
My 9 year old son is walking 100 miles over the summer holidays to raise funds for his volunteer run basketball team 💪🏻🏀 He has completed just over 13 miles so far this week! Please consider donating if you can.

An incredibly validating day spent at @RCSLT with discussions surrounding equality, diversity and inclusion. It was a privilege to be a part of the day and I felt that my opinions and contributions were valued just as much as someone who’s been in practice for many years.
@SarahMillican75 loved the show tonight! I also cannot ride a bike but drive a car, good to know there’s more of my kind around 😂. Love from a fellow late bloomer 🙌🏻
I was lucky enough to experience a thoroughly ND affirmative lecture by @evaldezOT and her colleague Tanya yesterday. It gives me hope that the tide is turning and that there’s other people out there advocating for ND individuals 🏻
Why is it that people have to fight for a disabled child’s autonomy over their own body just because they can’t verbalise the word ‘no’. This makes my heart hurt, but I will keep up raising the awareness of such awful things and fight for rights for people who are ignored.
This makes me want to move back to Scotland. At the weekend I was working w/a 6yr old. I was instructed to use hand over hand so they could match a picture. I said “no, they don’t like it when people do that” I was told it didn’t matter and I had to do it anyway (I didn’t)…(1/2)
The motion passed at this weekend's @scottishgreens conference correctly cites UNCRPD principles of autonomy, dignity, and the right to freedom from non-consensual or degrading treatment as grounds for a comprehensive ban on behaviour

‘This crippling of individuals I consider the worst evil of capitalism. Our whole educational system suffers from this evil. An exaggerated competitive attitude is inculcated into the student, who is trained to worship acquisitive success as a preparation for his future career.’

@SamBriggsSLT@qvh Hi Sam. I’d love to chat to you about this. I don’t have an option to DM you though. Do you have an email I can contact you on? Thanks.
