Trump just picked his own personal criminal defense lawyers to the #2 & #3 top spots at DOJ. In any other era, this would have been a big story, a clear conflict of interest, a corrupt violation of keeping the Justice Department independent. But with Trump, barely a notice.
Pete Hegseth is the epitome of white privilege. A weekend anchor on Fox and Friends, a Major in the National Guard will be the head of the most powerful military in the history of the world. The military is suppose to be apolitical. Pete Hegseth is purely political. Together with Trump they want to purge “woke” generals. That is UNAMERICAN. There are men and women with more experience at the Pentagon than he has been alive. A platoon leader now over the Pentagon. Republicans complained about DEI programs promoting incompetence and those who are unqualified. This is the height of hypocrisy. I will not be silent with the governance we are entering. That is the role of the opposition party. We lost the election, not our purpose.
Students are having their votes massively suppressed by the DeSantis Regime at the biggest school in Florida of over 50,000 students. This needs to be a national news story. This is blatant election interference by @RonDeSantis and his appointed minion @OCFElections
This is one of the most consequential pieces of journalism this week and it was because a student journalist paid attention to Trump's criticism of the CHIPS Act and then asked Speaker Johnson about it. No polling, no apostrophe's. Just good journalism. More of this, please.
Lawrence O'Donnell, "We have never had a more decent person than Joe Biden serve as President Of The United States. We have never had a more indecent person in that job than Donald Trump."
Wow. The LA Times didn't just squash a Kamala Harris endorsement. They buried an entire series of articles about Donald Trump:
"According to internal memos viewed by TheWrap, the series, tentatively called 'The Case Against Trump,' would have ran throughout this week. The endorsement of Kamala Harris would then have been published on Sunday."
Still insane to me that Trump inherited good job growth / wage growth / stock market from Obama
Faced ONE crisis in his whole presidency and just whiffed it completely, historically bad
And people are like “yeah but that doesn’t count”
FYI: Billionaire LA Times owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, who decided the paper would not publish its endorsement in the presidential election, paid no federal income tax for 5 consecutive years, @propublica found in 2021:

Not just being in the country illegally, working illegally. Visa fraud which likely would have led to a lifetime ban for him and his brother. His residence in the country and thus his eventual citizenship are all based on fraud.
A reminder:
It was Jared Kushner and the Trump administration who gave @washingtonpost writer Jamal Khashoggi to the Saudis, dismembered with a bone saw and liquefied in sulfuric acid.
But in a contest between Harris and Trump, Jeff Bezos can't make an endorsement.
Peter Theil and Elon Musk were raised in Apartheid South Africa. Conditioned in an authoritarian society and now using their wealth to create it here. They have found the perfect opportunity with this MAGA movement. Coporate greed and fascism is a dangerous alliance. With Putin, Ormand, LaPen, Trump, and others this is a global threat. They share the belief that they will shape the world by force and have the right to do so. This idea of superiority is the rationale for violence if they don’t get what they want.
Like clockwork, an industry trade group is suing to stop the Biden-Harris Administration's awesome, pro-consumer ‘click to cancel’ rule that would make it easier to cancel subscriptions.
Big business doesn't want government to work for you.
For years I've been investigating Jared Kushner's business deals with foreign governments. He's masquerading as an investment manager but the evidence I've seen makes him look like an unregistered foreign agent. @RepRaskin & I are calling on the DOJ to appoint a special counsel.
Now we know: Josh Hawley is only in Missouri six times a year.
Josh has secured $0 in congressionally directed spending for MO as Senator. He isn't running for reelection to keep serving us — he's running to keep up his luxury lifestyle on the coast.
