Crazy to think that Metroid Dread came out 5 years ago today! It's one of my favorite games of all time and I've meet so many cool people because of it. Even more crazy is that a direct sequel to Dread is coming out in just 3 months!

The real problem this game exposed was that the there are Metroid fans who will gas up any game no matter how bad because they desperately don't want the the series going on another 10 year hiatus.

The biggest downfall of this game are Metroid "fans." They call it bad and spread the word around because it didn't copy and paste the exact same formula from the previous Prime games.

To me, this game was very good. The level design, the art style, the soundtracks, Samu, Viola, it was all peak!

I hope more people continue to give it a chance!

@blais04 I just hope they change it so bosses can't be damaged with just the regular beam. That way you actually use your other resources instead of just a mashing fest for every boss.
