Birkaç saat önce Hearts of Iron IV oyununun en büyük modlarından biri olan 123.000 aboneye sahip Europe in Flames AGORA geliştirici ekibi, Hearts of Iron IV oyun direktörünün açıklamasının tamamen olayları halı altına süpürmek için yazıldığını belirtip somut bir adım atılana kadar geliştirme sürecini durdurduğunu açıkladı.

Ekip tarafından yapılan açıklama: "We have carefully reviewed the recent statement made by the Game Director of Hearts of Iron IV. We are well aware that this statement was issued as a result of the massive and justified backlash from the Turkish community. However, this text is completely far from sincere and fails to resolve the core issues. The announcement is a classic PR attempt to reduce the matter simply to the "inconsistent enforcement of a rule regarding profile pictures." While the unjust banning of our founding father's photograph is indeed a major issue, it is only half of the problem. Our equal and profound outrage is directed at the discriminatory double standards applied here, and the smearing of Atatürk with baseless "genocide" allegations to maliciously label him a "controversial" figure. The official statement contains not a single apology or correction regarding these heavy accusations, the clear bias, and the historical disrespect. As long as these slanders and the underlying racist double standards are swept under the rug, merely relaxing or reviewing the rules means absolutely nothing to us. As the Europe in Flames team, our stance is clear: Until Paradox management explicitly apologizes for both the disrespectful ban and these baseless slanders, and completely resolves this discrimination at its root, we will not release any updates for our mod. We thank the entire community and our players who stand behind historical facts and our justified reaction during this process."

Paradox’a bağlı Hearts of Iron IV'ın resmi topluluğundaki yetkililer tarafından Atatürk’e “soykırımcı” iftirası atıldı, Atatürk profil fotoğrafı kullanan bir Türk oyuncu Discord sunucusundan banlandı.

Yasak itirazına verilen yanıtta Atatürk “tartışmalı ve kutuplaştırıcı” bir figür olarak tanımlandı ve sözde “Ermeni soykırımı” sırasında İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti üyesi olduğu ifade edildi.

Moderatör, yasağın kaldırılması için gerçek Atatürk fotoğrafının kaldırılmasını istedi.

Ardından Türk kullanıcıların itirazları silindi ve gizlendi, itiraz edenler Discord’dan banlandı ve sunucu yeni katılımlara kapatıldı.
