Congratulations to Tim Duryea on an incredible coaching career! What an awesome game but an incredibly brutal business. He survived, excelled and had a very successful career. The Nelson family will be forever grateful to Tim, Angie, Kaylee, Tanner & Taylor.
“College sports are for students” Charlie Baker
The best thing I’ve heard from the NCAA lately. They’ve got to figure out how to make that happen. The primary purpose of college sports can’t be money(which it currently is) Money is definitely part of it but there has to be more
We live in a world where showing reverence for sacred things is becoming increasingly uncommon. In fact, the world celebrates the irreverent, as any perusal of a tabloid magazine, television program, or the internet attests.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are invited to cultivate the gift of reverence in our lives in order to open ourselves to a deeper communion with God and His Son, Jesus Christ, simultaneously strengthening our spiritual character.
The word reverence can be traced to the Latin verb “revereri,” which means to “stand in awe of.” In the gospel sense, this definition mingles with a feeling or attitude of profound respect, love, and gratitude.
Showing reverence for sacred things gives meaning to much of what we do every day and strengthens our feeling of gratitude—inspiring awe, respect, and love for higher and holier things.

“At a time when loneliness and isolation are rising around the world, families—though never perfect—remain one of life’s strongest sources of stability and meaning.” Russell M. Nelson
As followers of Jesus Christ, we should lead the way as peacemakers.
My dear brothers and sisters, let us plead with our Heavenly Father to fill our hearts with greater charity. Let us strive every day to follow the example of our Savior, who is the Prince of Peace.
The family unit is not only fundamental to society and to the Church, but to our hope for eternal life. We begin to practice in the family, the smaller unit, what will spread to the Church and to the society in which we live in this world, and what then will be what we practice in families bound together forever by covenants and faithfulness.
“I’m very grateful for my relationship with God. To God, I know that your value does not lie in your performance, but rather in your existence.” —Britain Covey
I’m so grateful to have a loving Father!
I’m so grateful that I get to be a Father to these wonderful kids.
The world needs honest, strong, compassionate Fathers!
Happy Fathers Day to all men that are, and strive to be that, in someone’s life.
