¡Hola! Échale una vistazo a esta lista que he creado en Amazon. https://t.co/7hBTAmXYnu
Did anyone have the Jurassic Park NES game or any of the original toys? This Dilophosaurus toy from the original Jurassic Park was my “alarm clock” as a kid. 🤭 My dad got it for me and thought it was hilarious to wake me up by pulling its arm so it roared in my ear. 😊 The battery died decades ago, but I can still remember the sound perfectly!
Jurassic Park for NES, and the film itself, were both released in June 1993. I’m a bit late celebrating that milestone, but finding my missing copy of the novel along with my Zelda II Halloween decoration has me thinking about it again!
Ocean Software developed the game after receiving early photos from the movie set, the script, dinosaur stills, and a tape of the sound effects. This version released near the end of the NES’s life cycle, so it wasn’t as well known as the SNES or Genesis versions.
In this top-down shooter, players control Dr. Grant across six levels as they flee with Lex and Tim from the escaped dinosaurs. You face a Triceratops stampede, a T. Rex, Velociraptors, Dilophosaurus, and Compsognathus while restoring power, calling for help, and making your way to a helipad for rescue. The music is catchy, and the sound effects are ultra goofy!
I played it constantly, and I still have my handwritten Game Genie codes for invincibility and infinite ammo that I copied from a game magazine.
I loved the film, and my teacher in 1993 showed us how to make large dinosaur sculptures out of papier-mâché and chicken wire! My group made a Dimetrodon (not actually a true dinosaur 😉), and it was featured at a local children’s museum. 😊
I have so many happy memories of Jurassic Park! ❤️
