It took me a long time, but I understand it now.

Crypto isn't what it used to be. It used to be kinda cool, some ~8-10 years ago. A niche interest by genuinely smart people who were interested in revolutionary tech. It was a completely different scene -- we have long since strayed from the original ethos of it all. Most of those early adopters have long since moved on with their lives, started families, etc. Recently, and frankly the only motivation I've had to stick around here, is seeing a return to first principles; the return of the privacy focus with Zcash, innovative new projects like Hyperliquid... but these are far and few between.

After the 2021-2022, we basically gigatopped the majority of the market. New entrants dwindling, we started shuffling the same money between us all the way down to nothing. The only people left by 2023 were certifiably *retarded*. This began the true era of memes. And if you were here in 2023, you may have caught Pepe, HPOS, WIF, Popcat, and many more. And if you were retarded enough, you were able to make a lot of money. People made it a point to try to make themselves more retarded in order to be profitable, I personally went through over a dozen 20lb tanks of nitrous oxide just to keep up at the height of the meme cycle.

In this more modern era, I consider myself a child of Artsch00lreject -- I see far ahead of what this place currently is now. A future where cat coins have taken their rightful place above dogs. Where the alpha is not amongst cabals of strange men, but in the hearts and minds of women. I'm willing to wait for that paradigm shift. But alas, this is still a heavily male dominated industry. These days, groups of dudes will link up together in a house in Los Angeles and "trench" (which means to suck each other off while trading crypto coins).

Being retarded is no longer the edge it used to be. These days, you have to be gay. You have to be a genuine homosexual to be able to make money in crypto. You need to be buying another man's coin. You need to shill projects called "the black bull". And what's worse is that you don't want to be late to being gay. You want to be gay early.
