The team has developed a set of learning modules geared toward high school students/teachers. They cover the history of galaxies, types of galaxies, and galaxy formation and organization. Each module also has links to quizzes to evaluate comprehension. https://t.co/O0qnMDkHlW
This #citizenscience project is perfect for REALLY getting away. Travel to deep #space with @SpiralGraph. While there, you'll help classify distant galaxies. https://t.co/77d1RLwiq0
Citizen scientists can be astronomers, too! Join @deicherstar of @AstronomyMag, as he talks with the leaders of three great astronomy-themed projects: @TweetAurora, @SpiralGraph, and Smartphone Astrophotography. Register here: https://t.co/s0C75Suwrp
I am looking forward to talking about Spiral Graph alongside a couple of other great astronomy projects! Join the conversation at 9pm ET tomorrow. Registration info below.

@CEO_CreativePro The classification portion of the project is in "hibernation". We are waiting for Galaxy Zoo to publish classifications of a new section of sky. We will then use the spirals from their results as input into Spiral Graph. Meanwhile, we are analyzing the SG data already completed.
Have you heard the latest episode of the #CitizenScience podcast? 🎧Theme is virtual travel! Hosts @BobHirshon & @CHNickerson “visit” @crowd_water in Switzerland, @SpiralGraph in space & @HealthyGulf on the Gulf Coast. Listen wherever you find podcasts: https://t.co/jtes7JkrFJ
We are currently out of data! Thank you to everyone who contributed. Please stay tuned for updates. You can also check for updates in the Talk section of Spiral Graph: https://t.co/YlmLKdx9My
Everyone’s favorite show about participatory science is back👀! Tonight at 7pm eastern join us as we talk about @SpiralGraph and the places beyond 🌎🌌. Register: https://t.co/NHyW3SJRen
I will be on the "Make it Count Monday" webinar at 7p ET on Feb. 15 talking about @SpiralGraph and showing how it works. You can sign up here (https://t.co/FXg04hrd1f) and we can chat about why galaxies are awesome! 🌀🎉
https://t.co/sf4R2Dju23 will be down Feb. 11 at 10am CST / 4pm GMT. All project sites (including Talk) will be inaccessible. They expect full platform downtime to be < 1 hour, however Talk downtime may extend longer (up to 6 hours). Platform status here: https://t.co/6BNvW5gtEp
This project is perfect for REALLY getting away. Trace the spiral arms of galaxies like our Milky Way, astronomers and learn about these "island universes," including their supermassive black holes. @PTreuthardt@SpiralGraph https://t.co/A28B7ctk6J
Spiral Graph volunteer @6bis15Zeichen noticed that this unusual looking galaxy resembles something familiar. Should this be called The @schumacher galaxy?
This looks to be an elliptical shell type galaxy: https://t.co/InRMrE6bm4
Our volunteers are doing a great job tracing spiral structure! Our software has a much easier time measuring the arm winding of the tracing image (right) than the original image (left).
