How can teachers use social learning theory in the classroom? From classroom management and collaborative learning to gamification and providing feedback, Bandura’s theory is widely applicable.

Studious Guy talks about social learning theory (SLT) and gives different examples of it. I like the way they use examples like child, criminal, and workplace behavior in terms of SLT and how it can go beyond the classroom. #6711SM6 https://t.co/v7oUuyqprv
Study of social learning theory and its effect on playing through pain in athletes. It found that athletes are more likely to play through pain with the proper social supports. Wonder if this could apply to students & their struggles w/ learning. https://t.co/Jpsex0efw0 #6711SM6
#6711SM5 This article by Rob & Rob (2018) talks about the differences between Constructivism and Constructionism but more importantly the use on the classroom. https://t.co/KoZMuehHyR
#6711SM5 This website illustrates the principles of constructivism and emphasizes that learning needs to be interactive to promote higher-level thinking. https://t.co/8ohNEuDwJx
#6711SM4 A study by Greenberg & Zheng (2022), suggests that certain secondary tasks can actually interfere with the senses and working memory/cognitive load theory. https://t.co/cAXPAmHDKQ
@AmyBeck30654876 I liked how the article outlined how you already use forms of behaviorism in your current teaching methods and you might not have known it.
The article linked below discusses Behaviorism. A point that I thought was interesting was that behaviorism is easier to quantify, even though it seems that high test scores do not always correlate to student understanding. #6711SM3 https://t.co/UkAXe8pUIh
Looking at both sides of the issue on behaviorism in education, this is an interesting take by Mary Dowd in her article "How to use behaviorism in the classroom."https://t.co/PjbHjsrQF6 I'm not sure I agree that using weighted grading and PBIS style methods work. #6711SM3
Final thoughts on incorporating technology in the classroom for COURSE 6710J: Understanding the Impact of Technology on Education, Work, and Society. I'm more inspired to include more tech in the classroom than ever!

This is my site I will hopefully be using more of in my teaching in Middle School Health. I am starting to see the value in letting go of more control and allowing students to take more ownership in their learning. #6710App5

@pzcortez@jentechteacher@heatheravril92 I love the idea of embracing the "I get to!" instead of the "I have to?!" Traditional learning has its place but supplementing with technology and change might just push the idea even more into the mainstream. Technology will be the new "traditional learning". #6710DB2
@MrMolloWalden I agree @MrMolloWalden, that screen time can be a debatable issue. It is difficult at times to get some parents to understand to focus more on how the students are using their time with technology instead of the amount of time they are on it. #6710DB2
I tend to focus on the negative when it comes to social media. I deal with bullying situations amongst middle school students involving social media. My mindset needs to change to a more positive view of what it can bring to the classroom. #6710DB2
