"Swiiiiiiiing and hello 4th of July! Take a ride on that knockdown pitch big boy! Kerry Wood knocked him down, and NOW Albert looks at him as he goes around first, heeee gives him a glare, say take a little whiff of that big boy! And now Kerry Wood takes a look at Albert as he touches them all. Give it to him big boy! Give it to him! THAT'S how you play baseball. THAT'S when you're a professional like Albert is. You don't glare out there! You don't throw your bat! You don't charge the mound! You just take the next pitch and you hit into the a, seats!” - Mike Shannon

Hello Twitter/X friends, I am trying to reach @CJ7STROUD. I sent him this DM on IG/X this past week and I know it’s a long shot but I’d be very appreciative if you guys could help me spread this in hopes that he may see it!!!
Hey man, I wanted to share my cousin’s story with you. I will link his Facebook memorial page and his other page where his updates were shared. His name is Eli Robinson. He passed away from Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer on June 16th of this year. He was a HUGE Texans fan all the way from St Louis, MO. You were his favorite player. I wanted to see if there was any way possible we could get a signed helmet or jersey from you (I do not mind at all to pay you for this). I really want to gift this to my uncle and his family for Christmas, who is also a Texans fan. It would mean the world to me and my family to be able to receive something personalized from you to give to them.

Please take a second share this tweet. We lost a family member this year to Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer. One of the most happy, athletic, and unselfish kid I’ve been blessed to know my entire life.

Just thinking out loud here for a second. I know things have been tough the last couple years but I just want to take a second to recognize something…. This stadium, our fan base, the organization, this city as a whole…. What a blessing to me. We might be down…we’ll be back
“Baseball can exist in Oakland, it has with great success for many many years. The fact from a business standpoint, the ownership here had slightly different interest.”
“There are ways it could have gotten done, there were plenty of wealthy local businessmen who offered to buy the team…and they wanted to keep it here!”
Crazy how after an entire season we finally have a team that literally admits what we all know. That it was the owner who didn’t want to be here and that a deal was on the table and could have been done.
See 🧵 for more from the Rangers broadcast.
I figure if we lose this series to the Dodgers, the season is officially over. Now or never.
Long way to go, short time to get there 👀
Put up or shut up
Absolutely zero feel for the game.. brutal call for what could’ve been one of the biggest moments in the season. Directly after a brutal loss. Against the CUBSSSS
“Crawford is 5-7 in his career against Neris.”
His last hit against Neris was 2018 when Crawford had an All-Star season.
Six years ago. SIX.
Crawford’s AB was the least competitive AB I’ve seen a major leaguer take this year.
That’s managerial malpractice.
