Good news the EU may now accept the UK’s right to decide tax and state aids in Northern Ireland. The UK needs to hold out over the EU imposing laws on NI. The EU needs to get the Unionists on side. The Protocol states the GFA takes priority which means Unionist consent.

When planning a road to net zero you need to get the CO2 numbers right. Early scrapping of an older diesel car and building a new EV both create a lot of CO 2. Two thirds of the UK electricity for the EV comes from fossil fuels on a low wind day.
