What a fun and delicious day we’ve had in Pine class! This morning we had our breakfast, petit déjeuner, with fresh croissants and pain au chocolats from Le Delice and later, Year 4 @SPMVCedar invited us to their French Cafe where we tasted lots of different foods together! 🥐🇫🇷

To complete our textiles project, today Pine Class strutted their stuff on the catwalk in front of the whole school to show off their up-cycled T-shirts! Well done everyone for your brilliant effort with your sewing and confidence on the catwalk! 📸

French week day 2 🇫🇷 J’aime les sports 🏀 🏈 ⚽️ Today we learned the names of our favourite sports in French then got to play with our equipment with our friends on the field🏑 🤸🏻‍♀️

Day 1 of French week was ice cream shop! We had to use our best pronunciation and manners in French to order our delicious ice creams then created an ice cream menu also in French! 🇫🇷 🍦

We had a brilliant day at the Cotswold wildlife park yesterday! Apologies for no photos yet, Twitter is playing up so will try again later 🦁 🐊

Building 3D shapes with spaghetti and marshmallows today in Maths! It was trickier than it looked to get all the spaghetti edges the correct length and attach our marshmallow vertices but we persevered and managed to make a few different shapes!

Today we had a visit from the @DogsTrust to teach us all about looking after dogs, how to behave around dogs to keep safe, how we can keep our dogs happy and about the amazing work that the Dogs Trust do to care for and re-home dogs 🐶 🐾 @SPMVCedar

We had such a super Sports Day yesterday morning with the whole school competing in their castles. Well done to all children for trying their best and showing such great teamwork and encouragement for each other! 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃Congratulations to Warwick who were the overall winners 🏆 💙

Today we had a special visit from Halifa who is from our partner school Chumbageni in Tanzania ���🇿 We had the opportunity to ask him some questions about life at school, sung the Tanzanian National Anthem, learned some names of animals in Swahili and sung our Big Sing songs 🎶

Textiles phase two today! We completed focus tasks this afternoon to learn and practise our key skills of running stitch, back stitch and cross stitch ready to choose which ones will work best for attaching a pocket or patch in our final designs 👕👖👗👚

To kick off our Textiles DT project on upcycling a piece of clothing for a fashion show, today we evaluated existing pieces of clothing by looking at their properties, materials, appearance, how they are made and rated whether or not we thought they'd make a good catwalk item! 👗

What a brilliant time singing our hearts out at the Big Sing yesterday at Worcester arena! With over 1000 children and a live band it was fantastic being able to perform the songs we've worked so hard to learn and rehearse 🎶 @SevernArts @SomersPark3CDM @SomersPark3R

What a brilliant morning watching and meeting the poet @KarlNova 📣We loved hearing all about his upbringing and how he got into poetry and rap. We then had a go at performing some of his poems ourselves back in class!
