A lovely afternoon with ‘Trees for Spondon’, planting 130 saplings on our Forest School site 🌳

The local councillors & neighbourhood board were so grateful for our help decorating the Christmas tree by Spondon library on Sitwell Street today. Twelve children, who were all reading champions, were chosen to hang decorations made by each class.
The tree looks beautiful! 🎄🥰

We are so proud of how our choir sang at Aspen Court Care Home yesterday. The residents were treated to many festive songs to make them feel ready for Christmas! 🎄⛄A huge well done to Miss Allen for leading our choir. 😊🎶

Y5/6 had a fantastic day at Magna yesterday. We were immersed into the 4 elements: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire and also had an excellent time learning about light in our workshop.

The big dragon we made in Woodpeckers from painted boxes and mark making has found his way onto our ceiling. He is going to be joined by shields we made and is decorated with the adjectives we used to describe him in English

In Geography Class 9 have been looking at China and Shanghai, so this afternoon we tasted some different Chinese foods and tried using chopsticks.

Yesterday Class 9 enjoyed cutting up fruit, using the blender and making and tasting our own fruit smoothies. We all had a go at cutting and blending. It was a great afternoon.
