@philmcnulty Expected nothing more from Everton yesterday. Unfortunately Moyes weaknesses around blooding in youngsters, not adapting his style and not setting us up to be able to score, are massively outweighing his strengths.
However he’s a safe pair of hands for an owner who lacks ambition
@CamelPhat Moyes won’t be sacked, we’ll be sat here as frustrated next season as we are now.
Dibling, Barry, Anzou and Rohl all signed off by Moyes.. and either not good enough or barely given a chance this season..
get a manager in who can pick a player and take this team forward
@MattJFootball He’s got to go
We’ve got enough ok players to stay up, so take the plunge now and move on to a progressive manager.
If it doesn’t work, we can’t be worse than Ipswich, Coventry and Hull over 38 games.
@EFCLyndon It’s exactly what everyone knew would happen.. including the opposition.. one of the reasons why we need to move on from Moyes. It’s the most predictable team in the league
@kennyontour07@Paddy_Boyland We’ve lacked balance when not playing an actual right back, and have consistently been set up to sit back despite the quality of the opposition.
The squad is ok, and the league is so condensed that when given the opportunity, we should have gone for it.
@EFCLyndon He gets tactically outsmarted almost every week, unless we’re up against sides where he sits deep and counters.. get someone in who can make these players grow not shrink when it really matters
@TheBlueRoomEFC one for the pod soon.. when did Moyes last tactically outperform the opposite manager? Can only think of Dyche (a dinosaur) h and a, Amorim who’s been sacked this season. Doesn’t bode well when we’re so light on players.
@TacticallyMatt Thing is, we’ll do phase 2 of a rebuild to shape a Moyes squad, but he’s got max 1 more season.
Do we trust him and the recruitment team to strengthen the squad that a new manager will take over in 18 months?
