@grantmcauley If the error is charged to either outfielder for failing to catch the fly ball, the official scorer needs to be replaced – yesterday. If the error is charged on the throw back to the infield, which allowed Dom Smith to score, that is accurate.

@Ohmsx @flushingitgolf As a player, if you are uncertain as to whether you are entitled to a drop in a given situation and you ask the referee. He then says you aren't of relief and you take it. Are you still subject to a penalty if he was incorrect?
