Congratulations to the players, the staff, and the casters of the @Unity_GO tournament. This was the highest level of @GuildWars2 spvp competition since the 2016 World Championships. Looking forward to the next few months, full write-up on today available by 4/17 on Reddit.
Game Four (2-3). With that R55 takes the NA UGO by winning on Temple. In the last game, Misha and Zan woke up and were able to give R55 a solid lead. Great performances on both sides.
Game Three (2-2) - R55 wins to tie the series. Unfortunate circumstances where Zan D/C'd and Helio honored the D/C by idling. Great sportsmanship on the side of Helio and Team USA for not punishing R55 in a 4v5 situation.
Game Two (2-1) - Team USA comes away with another on forest. Zeromis handling Zan on side nodes, and R55 not able to contain Magic Toker on this map. R55 not using Misha's portal, and it's showing in their rotations.
Game One (1-1) - R55 takes the win after Zan has a very solid performance, forcing Naru out of team fights to take the 1v1. Moobs being the focus of the EU spike in team fight without damage support from Naru. Overall, USA needs to find a way to deal with Zan and focus targets.
The finale we're looking for NA v. EU, Team USA vs. Rank 55 Dragons. Only major change I'm seeing is Frostball starting off on chronomancer instead of rev.
It's looking like we'll have a rematch of Team USA and R55 in the grand finales. Team USA is up 1-0 because of their last series. I would be surprised if Jeff's team can upset R55 in two back-to-back wins.
R55 vs. Team USA (W) TL;DW: The first streamed Bo3 of the tournament. After the first win, R55 couldn't turn it around in the following two. The player to watch was Toker on Team USA who seemed to be in all the right places at all the right times.
Another great game, this time going to Team USA. Toker showing us how much of an impact that thief can make in a game, Helio finding his legs against Zan, overall fantastic game. On the R55 side, Cookie making play after playing using his res signet, a valuable player for R55.
It looks like Helio isn’t given the chance as Zan consistently pushes him into a 1v1. Frostball also switching off of rev, now onto chrono. https://t.co/c8EnGrvxPM
What a game. R55 taking the win through a last minute wipe of three Team USA members. The over focus on kills set USA back early, allowing Misha to successfully watch two nodes on the map. Moobs rallying the USA team fight, but we need to see Helio put pressure on Misha.

The game series we’ve been looking for all day, Team USA vs. Rank 55 Dragons. This is the match-up that has been asked for. Key areas to watch for are 1) Toker vs. Sind, 2) Zeromis and Misha portals, and 3) late game rotations and team fights. @Unity_GO
R55 (W) vs. Team Egypt TL;DW: R55 showing their experience by establishing map control and small skirmish fight dominance. TE couldn’t get their team fight going with the Olrun + Sinid duo, any momentum that was gained from a won fight was quickly thwarted by R55’s disengage.
Team Egypt and @Rank55Dragons are up next. As mentioned before, TE coming out with a double mesmer comp. It’s also looking like TE has the better team fight, but I don’t think it will matter too much. I can only assume this series will go 2-0 in favor of the veterans from R55.
JBH vs. MFC (W) TL;DW: MFC came out with a mobile comp which featured a rev and a condi thief. Their quick rotations staggered JBH, who was running a standard FB + scourge comp, not allowing JBH to establish a two point map control. This was the first NA v. EU match of the day.
A failure to set-up team fight situations led JBH to play into MFC’s strengths, and with these last second kills, a strong NA team will fall to an EU squad. The interesting choice in comp by MFC took JBH by surprise and it showed in their rotations.
Was not expecting these close games, but welcome the excitement. JBH needs to establish a two node map control to prevent MFC from staggering them. Steel’s ability to portal team fights in and out will be a large indicator of the success for JBH.
Wow, Mesmers Free Casting putting on a clinic in this first match on temple. They’re consistently staggering JBH, not allowing them to team fight. If JBH is knocked out in this round, we could be seeing a 2/4 EU semifinals.
We’re now seeing Nos swap for Duck in team “Jebro’s Bald Head”. This team is looking like a strong contender for a run, excited to see Wakkey & Nos together again. They clearly have excellent teamwork after their years of playing in these roles together.
H. Turtles vs. Radioactive (W) TL;DW: Lack of rotations and failure to focus down Crysis zerk core warrior caused too many deaths for HT. Good S/D thief rotations coming out for both teams, however, Aeroxe (HT) didn’t have the team fight support he needed to perform in his role.
