Pray,
Hope,
And don’t worry.
Worry is useless.
God is merciful,
He will hear your prayer.

Rest in peace, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI 🙏

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI died today. Let us remember his wisdom and reflect on how we can live his inspiring words true in the year to come.

The words of the tax collector in this weekend's Gospel 'O God, be merciful to me a sinner,' are very similar to that of the Jesus prayer. The Jesus prayer is popular in Eastern Catholicism, and is a meditative prayer, much like the Rosary.

Jesus, help us always look to you and keep our eyes fixed on heaven.

When Christ kissed his cross, He was telling us two things:

1) Love your cross, don’t hate it
2) Suffer with love, not spite

Silence is the quickest, most prayerful way to find out what we really believe about God.

Prayer was never intended to be a monologue.

Go to Mass today.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show up in your life this week.

[Sr. Miriam James @onegroovynun]

Our Lady of Sorrows, Mary the mother of Jesus.
The woman who loved, suffered, comforted and was present to her Son to the very end.
The woman who is with us always, who stands by our crosses and who never leaves us.
She is fierce in her love of us, captivating in her beauty.

[Diocese of Cleveland @DIOCESEofCLE]

We pray for those who lost their lives, the families and friends who still grieve their loss and those who continue to protect, serve and keep us safe. May eternal rest be granted unto the souls lost on Sept 11, 2001.

You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You.
