On Nov 15 Musk is changing the terms and conditions of X to say:

“you provide us with a broad, royalty-free license to make your Content available to the rest of the world and to let others do the same”

This is a copy & paste from his updated Terms of Service, the exact words.)

Part of the reason is so that his AI tool can use this content as part of its data modelling (it’s not really intelligence) for his Grok tool.

He’s not the only Big Tech corp to do this.

if you saw that notice about a Terms of Service update, this is the main clause it changed.

it explicitly lets twitter use your posts and any attached media — including images, videos, and their audio — for the training of AI models like Grok.

it will be in effect November 15.
