a too long rant from a missing person attached to an unfinished and unrelated video:
i've been off of x since just after we received the legal notice from doodles (you can read about this in my older posts if you dont know wtf i'm talking about).
tbh this letter fucked me up. not because we weren't going to get our tokens (we did, after the rest of the team sold), or because i was worried about lawyers (fuck them, jail's not that bad), or because we did anything wrong (we didn't), but because it was sent - or approved - or bowed to - by people that i had considered my friends for a long time. people whose families' i had met, people who i had shared my personal world with, people who i had accompanied on a great adventure. real friends.
real friends that traded me in for what they could gain.
and this wasn't the first time. in this place "what you can do for my bags" trumps "how are you doing?". over and over and over.
in this place we call web3 the bag trumps all.
and the way you win at the bag game is to be the people who take from others, who lie, or who make an incredible dice roll.
i am not these people.
i've never been exceptionally lucky (an ex junkie with a myriad of auto-immune diseases... though i am tall... i guess thats some sort of luck, if you need a high up dish in the kitchen).
and i don't want to fucking take stuff at the detriment of my friends, i don't want to lie, i don't want to blow smoke up people's asses, i don't want to pretend everyone in the world is going to want your "first edition charizard" -
i just want to make cool shit on the internet with my friends.
but at the same time, there are so many amazing people (in the bloc, particularly) that have given so much - so much time - so much love to us and each other - and so much of their creativity into gboy and our collective story - so many people that aren't the lucky or the immoral. so many people who are just trying to make it. or better yet, have fun with their friends online.
i can't guarantee the path in this quoted post will work, i can't guarantee anyone's gonna "make it", but do believe it's the best shot we've got to take care of our people and put ourselves in the position to tell our story on the biggest stages in the world without participating in the endless loop of taking and getting took. i also think, economically, it might end up being a really cool move. and lastly it feels honest. so that's at least definitely good.
who fucking knows. all i know is this place is full of scared children with stockholm syndrome and it's time to be brave. let's burn the fucking house down.
long live the bloc

back to shitposting and making videos
To The Bloc,
it is now time to begin the next chapter of NEUKO's journey. a chapter where we bring character driven, interactive storytelling to the world.
what this chapter holds:
1. NEUKO is launching our new interactive media studio this week. G*BOY proved to us that there is a starved market for character driven storytelling, and it gave us the tools and the conviction to take it to the highest level. human creativity and taste with the best available technology, making things that have never been made before.
2. we have officially signed with a major player in the creative agency space, to bring the best storytelling to some of the worlds biggest brands. more on this soon.
3. we will accept a limited number of monthly content clients, allowing us to partner with brands that are deeply aligned with telling impactful stories with living characters - apply at https://t.co/cLhcDCLGBr
what about G*BOY?
G*BOY allowed us to hone our craft and build internal tools to create responsive story content and living characters at scale. our community drove us, inspired us, and led us on this journey. in this process we gave away everything we could, and with what we earned, reinvested into the assets we had distributed. we spent practically every dollar we made to buy back into the ecosystem and give back to the community that supported us and lit our fire.
we have purchased and held onto every single token we could and control over 75% of the supply. we will now burn them - aligned with a system where we trade the value we create for the world at large into a positive dynamic for our believers. for every dollar we make from client and partnership work we will be burning a commensurate dollar value of our company $GBOY holdings. we have burned 14.77% of the total supply today and will continue to burn periodically. we will not be publishing reports around this, check the chain.
we will be focusing primarily on client work and good examples of our skills and what our technology can do, and putting it on the channels where our clients and prospects spend their time (ig, tiktok, etc).
G*BOY will always be where our hearts are, he's our mascot and he will live within these places and in this work in whatever ways make sense. and his story will continue. the leaderboard is wrapping up this week. all data from this season has been saved and we will use it when the time is right to give back to the people who showed up. we see you.
there are multiple paths NEUKO could have taken.
• sell digital things to our fanbase that we love by leveraging the story at the core of our hearts, extracting and leaching the funds of our dearest supporters and proclaiming wild futures and speculative dreams to attempt to pump their bags
• sell digital things to the biggest brands in the world, make real world revenue, get real world attention, and find a way to bring it home to our people, expanding the possibilities of our future, for ourselves and G*BOY
we have chosen the second path.
to the whines and whispers of the crowd, the grumblings of purists, a million whys and why nots, there is one answer: because it is right.
we have been in this industry a long time, we have lived and breathed web3 for many years and in that time we have seen good and generous people get trounced by lesser people who were one of two things:
• immoral
• lucky
we will not bow to base greedy desires and hurt those that care for us. we will also not let fate and markets determine our success. we have chosen another way. a path that we can forge ourselves, a path that trades value for value, rather than value for dreams.
as always - we won't do what people think we should do. we will do what we feel is right.
but make no mistake about who we do it for: the people who built this with us. thank you for the fire.

@boris0chuck you and @demdev007 are not just the best devs but some of the best people i've ever worked with - love you for taking this journey with us.
@MacMints@MonsieurWeb3@neukoai takes a billion years to produce, we had to make an estimate on how many and start production before claim, which is still open
when did you pick up on the surprise?
now that agents can make their own media - from scripting to editing - creators will become more like new age game devs. sure ai can make content production cheaper and faster, but what happens when agentic shows can react to their audience in near real time? what happens when the comments decide the fate of a character? or when a community of believers can direct a series together? static content will be left behind in favor of living stories.
there's still slop in the margins for now, but we're racing toward that interactive future that merges audience and story in a way that has never been possible before.
