‘HE’S THIS GENIUS’: Former President Trump hails @elonmusk as the “best computer guy there is” as the billionaire hasn’t shied away from supporting him this campaign season.
@FoxNews@elonmusk Yeah, the Nazi enabling white immigrant from apartheid South Africa who inherited his fortune from mining slave labor, who tanked Twitter, and nearly did it to PayPal, is endorsing Trump. That's a great look. /s
@FoxNews Maybe if conservatives weren't so obsessed with removing social safety nets and letting people get crushed under the system we wouldn't be in this mess. Republican Economics worsens inequality and then removes the systems designed to protect people from that inequality.
@FoxNews@mayemusk Ah yes, the rich, entitled immigrant family from apartheid South Africa comes to the country to urge people to vote for the racist candidate running Hitlerian anti-immigrant policies.
@DMcdichael6169 @esjesjesj@DreamLeaf5 Tariffs have very little effect on business decision making. At most they motivate companies to source resources from different countries & exploit loopholes. They have a much more prevalent effect on prices, they are just a different kind of tax that consumers pay.
@DMcdichael6169 @esjesjesj@DreamLeaf5 Tariffs don't prevent industry loss. Companies simply pass tariffs on to consumers. They result in increased international tensions and higher costs for everyone. Trump's steel tariffs alone resulted in a manufacturing employment loss in the thousands and raised prices.
@DMcdichael6169 @esjesjesj@DreamLeaf5 The GDP is not the economy. Trump has some horrific economic policies. His tariffs would be catastrophically bad, he seems pathetically weak on anti-trust, his NLRB was disgustingly hostile to workers, and he has some of the worst tax policy since Reagan.
@SEIU@KamalaHarris I think it's a bit disingenuous to paint her as explicitly pro labor. She'll certainly be better than the Union busting con man (especially if she keeps Biden's NLRB), but both her and Biden sided with rail companies over workers 2 years ago, and it's important to remember that.
A future in space with the super rich in charge won't be a Star Trek Utopia, it will be an Expanse / Hardspace dystopia with workers crushed by massive corporations in a lawless territory. #CommonHeritageOfMan
@elonmusk@realDonaldTrump Over regulation? The government spoon feeds and props up SpaceX. The majority of its budget is government subsidies and contracts. So what, you want dump trucks of money and no accountability? Regulation comes with the money: buyers (taxpayers) are entitled to standards.
@Tim_Walz Reminder that Trump and Vance are members of the aristocratic elite; their political aspirations are protecting and extending their own power at the expense of the working class.
