🌼💛Hello! My name is Mars and I’m an illustrator from New Zealand, I’m currently studying animation. I pretty much draw whatever I like so there’s a mix of fan art and original content 💛🌼
✨You can find threads of my art, sorted by year, under this post ✨
Rewatching Lego ninjago and I got to the awful jay/nya/cole love triangle plot, but it’s so funny now because it’s obvious Cole just does not understand whats going on even a little bit, Jay just started picking fights over Nya and he was like “okay I guess we’re fighting now?”
@sunnyntdemon Oh ofc he's very cute! also people not knowing that great danes actually have floppy ears is a bit sad, but scooby is drawn to have clipped ears (which is an unfortunate thing that people do to some dogs, it was very in fashion for danes at the time :()
@moncxta The modern dilemma of "The outfits women were given in older video games were objectifying in comparison to the way men were dressed" vs "yah but they were so slay boots the house down though"
For a month that’s meant to be about celebrating the queer community a lot of people sure do love to use it to air out the random prejudices they have for their fellow community members lmao
@moncxta As a long time mina le viewer I will say she's usually ahead of the curve on these things, there's been multiple times where she puts out a video and a few days later twitter is full of hot takes practically copy and pasted from the video transcript
@moncxta But it's genuinely nuts with how many units they sell and the fact that a lot of those sales are digital so there's no packaging cost either, I know they take a long time but I think we passed into greed territory many years ago
@moncxta Studio video game prices are so insane these days it makes me relieved I'm one of those people who can just buy an indie farming sim and throw hundreds of hours into that and then like, an insanely expensive pokemon game very few years-
@moncxta@haiperexe People are def stepping in to show as much love as they can and working to build his english audience since he's been completely pushed out of his arabic speaking community now but I can't imagine how tough it is for him at the moment :(
@Bbyskyfall I think people just get caught up in the idea of Star Wars movies being this big grand explorations of the nature and philosophy of light and dark, which the mandalorian was never really concerned about, that they leave the movie feeling it wasn’t “about anything”
Reviews are in saying that the mandalorian and grogu is basically just a long episode of the series and it’s just kinda the two of them dealing with stuff that’s happening and I have to say yeah that’s kind of the point of them
@Bbyskyfall Star Wars can have depth, it just depends how you define what “deep” is. The mandalorian as a series has always covered much more personal themes, it just happens to be within the setting of Star Wars. Dins relationship with his religion, with his career, his people ect
