Liverpool snatch a 90+9' point at St James' Park thanks to an Dominik Szoboszlai's penalty after Lewis Hall fouled Víctor Muñoz. An animated Matthias Jaissle wagged his finger in protest at the decision but VAR didn't overturn.

Heartbreak for a spirited Newcastle side who twice led through Anthony Elanga and Joe Willock goals. Yoane Wissa outstanding for the hosts.

Cody Gapko had made it 1-1 with a clinical finish only for Willock to put Newcastle back in front two minutes later.

Yet Hall, who was otherwise excellent all game, committed a costly foul in added time allowing Szoboszlai to secure a draw for Liverpool.⚫️🔴

Our 2 centre mids today are 20 & 18 😳 huge call from the manager but also speaks volumes about the likes of Jacob Ramsey when we would rather throw an 18 year old kid against Liverpool than Ramsey in his prime. Needed to step up in pre season and hasn’t.
