It's almost like this club is hard coded for these type of events, a soft penalty, over the 90+5, after being well worthy of a win, that's just how it goes for us.
A lot to be positive there about, we had 18 year olds bossing them, go sign Nico G immediately.
🚨Roy Keane on the controversial penalty awarded to Liverpool after Lewis Hall’s challenge on Victor Muñoz:
🗣️ Roy Keane: “For me, that is not a penalty. I’m sorry, but Newcastle have been completely robbed here. Their knees collide that’s what happens in a football match when two players are competing for the ball. What exactly was Lewis Hall supposed to do? Stand still and allow the attacker to run through and score?
“There’s no obvious push, no deliberate trip, no reckless challenge. Their knees simply clatter together and Victor Munoz goes down. We’ve seen contact like that a thousand times without a penalty being given. I don’t understand how VAR looks at that and decides Newcastle should be punished.
“Newcastle had this game won. They played well enough to take all three points, defended for their lives and deserved the victory. Then a decision like this changes everything and hands Liverpool a point.
“That’s not the way you want a big Premier League match decided. Newcastle have been robbed of a win, while Liverpool have been handed a lifeline by the officials.”
Liverpool snatch a 90+9' point at St James' Park thanks to an Dominik Szoboszlai's penalty after Lewis Hall fouled Víctor Muñoz. An animated Matthias Jaissle wagged his finger in protest at the decision but VAR didn't overturn.
Heartbreak for a spirited Newcastle side who twice led through Anthony Elanga and Joe Willock goals. Yoane Wissa outstanding for the hosts.
Cody Gapko had made it 1-1 with a clinical finish only for Willock to put Newcastle back in front two minutes later.
Yet Hall, who was otherwise excellent all game, committed a costly foul in added time allowing Szoboszlai to secure a draw for Liverpool.⚫️🔴
Can't fault the effort there. They were all class (Barnes iffy). Plenty to build on. Just a sickening way to have the three points taken away from us #NUFC
“I want people to dream about their football club. They should, we should all be dreamers at heart. Some people are the opposite & say 'we can't do that', but when you ask them why, they can't give a reason. Well, I say, 'Why not?’ - Kevin Keegan
A perfect summation of fandom.

I've been so focused on our own issues I didn't spot Villa have practically lost most their decent players lol?
Trying to compete for UCL will actually cripple your club, what an incredibly fucked up league man.
Our 2 centre mids today are 20 & 18 😳 huge call from the manager but also speaks volumes about the likes of Jacob Ramsey when we would rather throw an 18 year old kid against Liverpool than Ramsey in his prime. Needed to step up in pre season and hasn’t.
Good luck lads 🙌🏼 #NUFC
This is just stock answers after there’s a lot of transition. “Struggling to find their identity”, what is he on about? If anything, they’ve taken a gamble by sticking to their identity. Nobody here has done any research and it shows. #NUFC
Imagine you’ve spent all summer convincing yourself that “This is Manchester United” are back, only to have middle aged men pretending to be tigers in your face 45 mins into the season.
