Neil Merry spoke to KS5 Product Design students about his career and the pros and cons of being in Product Design. He gave insight into career opportunities and spoke to students individually about their A-level project, offering helpful advice.

Congratulations to students Zak I, Bethany B, Viola D, James B presented with a Headteacher Award for producing & presenting an excellent Climate Change art project to Oxfam. The poems then created were read with such passion it moved the audience to tears.
Year 10 have now completed their fruit holders. They were limited to 2 meters of softwood in order to make their creations. They developed their ideas based around this and all met the challenge. They have created highly innovative and inspirational designs. Well done year 10.
Y9 Graphics are starting the book cover design project. Today we visited @SRALibrary_ to gather research on different book cover styles. Although we say ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ they can certainly entice us to read the pages within! What is your favourite book cover?
Today was the Year 8 House Bake off, students had to bake a batch of identical shortbread biscuits. Mr. Barry kindly lent a hand to judge the entries. Well done to all who took part! @SRAHouseSystem
