Just found out that OELA (Office of English Language Acquisition) at the Dept of Education was ended yesterday. All employees let go. 😢

Throughout my career working with English Learners OELA has been an invaluable resource for research and guidance. I have real concerns about how states will receive Title II and Title III funds to get to schools without the DOE. Ultimately, kids are the ones who will be harmed.
