Former Minister of Police Bheki Cele, whom the EFF asked in 2021 whether he has any relationship with Timi Marimuthu, confirmed in the Ad Hod Committee of Parliament that he in fact knows him very well.
The problem is when you have chosen a faction in SAPS, and want to include us in those factions - we must then even avoid information given to us by public officials because they do not belong in your preferred faction.
We are not in any faction of SAPS, no public representative must avoid their constitutional duty of exercising oversight over the Executive using information volunteered to them, in fear of reprisals from cheerleaders of factions in SAPS.
