I think this is in line with demographics supporting PC. More elderly voters who would take advantage of advanced polling to beat crowds. Parties with unwavering base (PC here, also Liberal to lesser extent) will also generally capture more early votes. #nbpoli #nbelection2020

First stat that pops out: PCs won 43% of advance and special ballot votes but only 35% on election day.

@robhoadley @electionatlasCA Both can be explained by strategic voting. F-York and F-G. Lake were both held by PA. PC candidates probably appealed to centrist voters as the "least worst" of the right wing parties. Voters outside city backed the more right wing option. #nbpoli #nbelection2020 #FPTPisbad

2. Claim they're not delivering results.
3. Privatize.

In this case, no privatization; just elimination of services.

I think it's a safe bet the Greens will be given party status for that reason. Highly doubt PCs want to give PA more privileges... Perfect opportunity to distance themselves. Question is, how to justify not giving PA same leeway as Greens?

With under 20% of the vote (15) and less than the 5 required seats, the Greens do not qualify for Official Party status. It will be interesting to see if LAC will allow them an exception as they have the last two Assembly’s. Only reason would be to ensure the left remains split.
