1. MACL handing Velana Int’l Airport Duty Free to China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) for a $10M bribe.

2. MPL signing with CHEC to move port to Thilafushi (worth $1 billion) without a bid. Unsure if bribe involved.

🚨BML Shareef @MShar33f caught lying.

Shareef: “Bank (BML) never gave dollars to gov for any purpose”.

But on 30 Sep 2025, BML lent $157.7M to Muizzu gov for 5 years, believed to be for Fushidhiggarufalhu. This led to a huge USD shortage, causing the current USD crisis in BML.
