My parents were visiting Toronto and they had a flight back tonight to Newark liberty Airport, but it was canceled so I booked them the greyhound buses down to Manhattan tomorrow. There was mad cancellations out of EWR I heard.
New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool.
Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can.
Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment.
A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.
Feeling mad FOMO missing out on the Knicks parade. I was gonna drive up to Jersey City and take the path, but I thought it would be ridiculous. Not to mention. All of my boys got up at six in the morning to take the transit up to the city.
As of March 17th 2026 (St.Patty’s day) this has changed and I was at MSG when the Knicks played the Pacers. I didn’t post on X because I forgot but has to update my historical archive which is my social media
at present, I have never seen a game at Madison Square Garden (Knicks). I’ve been to every other stadium in the tri-state area, including Barclays in Brooklyn (Nets) and Xfinity Arena in Philly (76ers). It’s just that even the nosebleed seats at MSG are like $200
Wemby is especially dangerous when he has help and my god Vassell and Fox were backing him up with the star shooting last night. Game 5 will not be easy.
I’m not sure why everyone is surprised that the refs didn’t make any calls, as if it’s wasn’t obvious what as going on after towns got fouled on his 3 and no call. The refs get paid if the series goes on longer. Thats what they were hoping for
NYC, the Knicks are heating up and so are we.
The heat index may hit 100 degrees today and tomorrow. We may also see severe thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and winds strong enough to down trees and power lines.
These conditions are extremely dangerous.
Here’s how to keep you and your neighbors safe:
Seek air-conditioning. The City is activating hundreds of free, public cooling centers across the city. Find one nearest you, including accessible and pet-friendly options, by visiting https://t.co/Iqa7gXBq7R or by calling 311.
Recognize the signs of heat illness. Call 911 immediately if you or someone you know has hot dry skin, trouble breathing, rapid heartbeat, confusion, disorientation, dizziness, nausea, or vomiting.
Call 311 if you see a homeless neighbor in need of assistance. Outreach teams are activated citywide to help connect vulnerable neighbors with safe, cool spaces.
If storms hit, go indoors. Use caution while traveling. Stay out of basement apartments.
Drink lots of water. Wear sunscreen. And check in on your neighbors.
As always, sign up for emergency alerts: text NOTIFYNYC to 692-692.
However they quickly tightened up defense in the latter half of the game, started getting better shot selection, and slowly chipped away at the game. Harvard hit a shot and got a two point lead and won the game. This had me on the edge of my seat in the second quarter (2/2)
This was a wild one. Princeton men’s basketball the Tigers historically has always played motion offense and back door cuts. Harvard Crimson Men’s Basketball on the other hand tends to be physical and deliberate. Harvard started off with a 10 point deficit by halftime. (1/2)
